Freshman-to-Sophomore Retention Rates By Ethnicity
When comparing 2010 to 2012, the retention rate increased for all ethnicity groups.
- African American/Black: From 64.3% to 75.2%
- American Indian/Alaskan Native: From 67% to 75.7%
- Asian/Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander: From 81% to 84.7%
- White: From 78.5% to 81.3%
- Non-U.S. Citizen: From 83.7% to 88.0%
The freshman-to-sophomore retention rate for students of color hit 80% for the first time for those who enrolled in fall 2012.
UA’s Diverse Campus
UA’s adaptive athletics program is the largest and most successful program of its kind in the country.
There was a 22% increase in the number of students using the LGBTQ Resource Center in 2014-15.
UA is home to eight Pat Tillman Scholars.
