The Veteran Faculty and Staff Affinity Group is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for military-connected employees. Our mission is to advocate for the unique needs of veterans, active duty service members, reservists, National Guard members, and retirees within our institution. We strive to promote professional growth, provide mentorship, and build a strong community of camaraderie and mutual support. Through our efforts, we aim to enhance the recruitment, retention, and overall well-being of our veteran colleagues, ensuring they thrive both personally and professionally.

Foster Community and Support: Create a strong sense of community and mutual support among veteran faculty and staff through regular social events, networking opportunities, and peer support groups.
Provide Professional Development: Offer targeted professional development opportunities, including workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs, to support career advancement for veteran employees.
Advocate for Veteran Needs: Advocate for policies and practices that address the specific needs and challenges faced by veteran employees, ensuring their voices are heard in institutional decision-making.
