MLK Week Celebration
When
The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI), African American Student Affairs (AASA), and the Department of Digital Humanities invite you to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s life and work during a week of community engagement and service from January 20 to January 24.
Engagement
We invite the University of Arizona community to explore the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Center at 1322 E. 1st St., Tucson, AZ 85721. Discover the new mural and immerse yourself in a holographic video featuring student reflections on Dr. King's legacy by scanning a QR code on the mural.
Service
Support our Black students by donating non-perishable food items or gift cards to local grocery stores for the AASA Food Pantry. Drop-off times are as follows:
- Monday, January 20: 9 am – 12 pm
- Tuesday, January 21: 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
- Wednesday, January 22: 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
- Thursday, January 23: 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
- Friday, January 24: 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
Please consider donating to AASA’s general GoFundMe fund if you cannot visit the center. This fund helps students cover the rising costs of housing, food, books, and fees.
