The Community Advisory Councils collaborate with University of Arizona leadership to support the UA’s diversity priorities. The Community Advisory Councils work to promote diversity and inclusion through shared decision-making, as well as emphasize diversity in every aspect of our institutional culture, reinforcing the core values of the university's strategic plan

Individual council members are volunteers who are committed to helping the UA be successful in its mission to serve the community prioritized by that council. They are advocates for the UA community, and advocates for the community to the UA. They are alumni, educators, retirees and people who are interested in helping the university achieve its goal of embracing our diversity as a strategic source of strength. The advisory members represent some of the leading nonprofit, educational and business groups in Southern Arizona; some council members serve at-large.

The work of the various community advisory councils is supported by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. If you would like more information about any of our Diversity Advisory Councils, please contact the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at inclusion@arizona.edu.
